Getting started
Create your account, sign in, and set up your profile so your results are read against the right ranges.
How do I create an account?
- 1Go to app.optimiseurhealth.com and click Register as a patient.
- 2Enter your email address and choose a password, typing it twice.
- 3Tick the Terms of Service box and the box consenting to the processing of your personal and medical data. Both are required (see Consent and your data). Marketing emails are optional.
- 4Click Sign Up, then open the email we send you and click the verification link.
My clinic sent me an invitation. What do I do?
Open the email and click the link. The sign-in page opens with your email filled in. Choose a password of at least 8 characters, tick the two consent boxes and continue. Your clinic already has access to your record, so anything they uploaded is waiting for you.
Why should I complete my profile?
Optimise uses your gender and age to pick the right healthy ranges for each marker, so fill these in before your first upload.
- 1Click your picture in the top right, then Your Profile. Click the circle to add a photo (JPG, PNG or GIF up to 5 MB).
- 2Fill in your name, gender, birth date and height, then click Save.
- 3To change your password, use the Change Password box. The new one needs 8+ characters with an upper case letter, a lower case letter and a number.
- 4My Clinics lists the clinics that can see your data.
I forgot my password.
On the sign-in page click Click here to reset your password, enter your email and click Send reset link. Follow the link in the email to choose a new password of at least 8 characters.
Where are my profile and sign-out options?
- 1Click your picture in the top right corner and choose Your Profile. The menu also shows your email and the Patient tag.
- 2Click Sign out when you have finished, especially on a shared computer.
Consent and your data
Your blood tests and health history are sensitive health data. Optimise can only store and process them with your explicit consent.
Why do I have to give consent before I can use Optimise?
To host your data, Optimise stores your lab reports, results, history and health scores on its secure cloud servers and processes them to produce your scores and report. Health data is a special category of personal data, so the law requires your explicit consent before we can do this. Accepting the Terms of Service alone is not enough.
That is why you can't create an account, or accept an invitation from your clinic, until you tick both required boxes.
| Checkbox at sign-up | Required? | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| I agree to the Terms of Service | Yes | The rules for using the app. |
| I provide explicit consent for processing my personal and medical data | Yes | Lets Optimise store and process your health data as described in the Privacy & Medical Data Notice. |
| I agree to receive marketing communications | No | News and offers by email. You can use Optimise without it. |
What exactly am I consenting to?
- 1Hosting: your data is stored on secure cloud servers run by our hosting providers, encrypted in transit and, where applicable, at rest. It may be stored outside your country, with legal safeguards in place.
- 2Processing: your lab report is read and your results scored and interpreted, partly with AI services (Google).
- 3Sharing with your care team: only clinics you approve, or the clinic that created your account, can see your data.
- 4Service providers: hosting and technology providers handle your data only on our behalf, under confidentiality and security obligations.
Your data is never sold. The full details are in the Privacy & Medical Data Notice.
My clinic created my account. When do I give consent?
The first time you open the invitation link and set your password, you are asked for the same two consents before you can continue. Until then, your clinic can prepare your record, but you can't sign in.
Where can I see what I agreed to?
Go to Documents and open the Consents tab. It shows the date and time you consented and the versions of the Terms of Service and the Privacy Notice you accepted. If the notice changes in a way that needs your agreement again, you'll be asked to consent again.
Can I withdraw my consent?
Yes, at any time, by emailing the support team (below). Withdrawing stops any further processing of your health data. Because the app can't work without it, you may no longer be able to use Optimise. Withdrawal doesn't affect processing that happened before it.
Closing your account counts as withdrawing consent. Your data is then deleted or anonymised, except where medical-record law requires us to keep it for a minimum period. In that case it is locked away and not used.
Your dashboard
The dashboard turns your approved blood tests into six health scores and trend charts.
What am I looking at on the dashboard?
- 1Score tiles: a score out of 10 for six health areas. Each tile averages all your approved tests.
- 2Test picker: choose which blood test the wheel and descriptions below should show.
- 3Health wheel: the six scores for the test you picked. The fuller the shape, the better.
- 4Health Scores Description: a short explanation of each score for that test.
Scroll down for your Weight Trend, a Custom Trend chart where you can plot up to five measures, and Blood Panels, which charts each marker over time.
How are my health scores worked out?
When a blood test is approved, an AI model reviews its markers, along with your previous test for context, and scores six areas from 0 to 10. Each area uses its own markers: for example glucose, HbA1c and triglycerides for Metabolic Health, or vitamin D, B12 and iron for Nutrient Status. Scores are worked out again whenever you edit and save a test.
Why does a tile say "Not assessed"?
None of your tests included the markers needed for that area. Ask your practitioner which tests would fill the gap. Your report also lists recommended further testing.
What is the difference between the conventional and functional range?
The conventional range (yellow band on the charts) is the range your lab uses to flag a result as abnormal. The functional range (green band) is a narrower band Optimise treats as optimal for long-term health. A result can be normal for the lab and still sit outside the optimal range.
Blood tests
Upload your lab report, check what Optimise read from it, and approve it.
How do I upload a blood test?
- 1Go to Blood Tests, then drag your lab report onto the box or click Upload a file, and click Process Data. Reading the report takes a minute or two, so keep the page open.
- 2If your clinic has already put the report in your documents, click Select from your documents instead.
While Optimise reads your report, the progress bar moves through Uploading Document, Extracting Blood Markers and Processing Data. When it reaches Completed, the review screen opens.
Which files work? A PDF of 10 MB or less that contains real text, like the digital PDF your lab emails you. Scanned or photographed reports and password-protected PDFs can't be read yet.
How do I check and approve the results?
After processing, a review screen shows what Optimise read from your report, with the original beside it. Nothing counts towards your scores until you approve it.
- 1Report Metadata shows the name, gender, birth date and collection details read from your report. Check they are yours.
- 2Check the Collection Date. It must be the day your blood was taken, not the day you uploaded.
- 3Each row shows a marker as written on your report (left) and the Optimise marker it was matched to (right). Correct a value or unit if it was misread.
- 4Your original report is shown here so you can compare line by line.
- 5A marker marked Not mapped in red was found on your report but not matched. Pick the right marker from the list, or remove it.
- 6When everything matches, click Approve Data. A short AI interpretation of your results appears. Close it to see the full test.
Remember: the interpretation is generated by AI to support a conversation with your practitioner. It is not a diagnosis.
What do the columns in my blood test list mean?
- 1Verified is Yes once you have checked and approved the markers. No means the review was not finished: click View to complete it.
- 2View opens the test with all its markers.
- 3View Report opens your personalised report once it exists.
- 4Generate Report creates the report for a verified test.
- 5Delete removes a test you uploaded. This can't be undone.
Uploaded By shows You or your clinic's name. Tests your clinic uploaded can be viewed but only the clinic can edit or delete them.
How do I view or correct a test?
- 1The Collection Date of the test.
- 2Each marker shows your value against the lab's reference range. Green is inside the range, red is outside.
- 3Click Edit to correct a value or unit, then Save Changes. Your scores are recalculated.
- 4Download Original saves the lab PDF you uploaded.
- 5Health Metrics shows the six scores for this test. Scroll down for the descriptions and the AI interpretation.
Some markers are missing or wrong after upload.
Fix them on the review screen before you click Approve Data. If you have already approved the test, open it with View and click Edit.
Your report
A personalised report of your results, scores, areas needing support and suggested further tests.
How do I get my personalised report?
- 1In Blood Tests, click Generate Report next to a verified test (or View Report if it exists). To keep a copy, click Print and choose Save as PDF as the printer.
- 2Back to Blood Tests returns you to your list.
The report covers your results against conventional and optimal ranges, a score per health area, markers outside the optimal range, areas that may need support, recommended further testing, and trends across your tests.
Is the report a diagnosis?
No. The scores, interpretation and report are produced with the help of AI to guide a conversation with your practitioner. They are not a medical diagnosis or a treatment plan.
Medical history
A timeline of your medication, supplements, activity, symptoms, weight and tests, newest first.
How does the timeline work?
- 1Use these buttons to add an entry: Medication, Supplements, Physical Activity, Symptoms, Weight or Blood Test.
- 2Entries appear on the timeline by date. Blood tests, your join date and anything your clinic records (like GLP-1 doses or treatment plans) appear automatically.
To change or remove an entry, click the pencil or bin icon next to it. When you stop a medication or supplement, add an end date instead of deleting it, so your practitioner can see how long you took it.
How do I add a medication or supplement?
- 1Fill in the fields marked with a red star: product name, brand, start date (end date optional), dose and unit, and how often you take it. You can add photos of the packaging.
- 2Click Save.
- 3Or Cancel to close the form without saving.
How do I add my weight?
- 1Enter the date and your weight. Switch between KG and LB here.
- 2Add body fat % and muscle mass if your scale measures them.
- 3Click Save. Your entries feed the Weight Trend chart on the dashboard.
How do I log a symptom?
- 1Choose the symptom from the list (or type a new one), the dates, and how severe it is from 1 to 10.
- 2Describe it in a sentence or two, then click Save.
Can I record GLP-1 doses myself?
No. GLP-1 treatment sessions are recorded by your clinic and appear on your timeline and dashboard automatically.
Documents and clinics
Files your clinic shares with you, and who can see your data.
What's in Documents?
- 1Files your clinic shares with you, sorted into General, Bloodworks and Gut Function.
- 2Consents records when you accepted the Terms of Service and the Privacy Notice.
- 3Click a file to preview it here and download a copy.
Documents is view only. To add a blood test, use the Blood Tests page.
A clinic asked for access to my data. What do I do?
- 1A red number on the bell means a request is waiting. Click the bell.
- 2Under Requests, check the clinic name and click Approve or Reject. You can also do this under My Clinics in your profile.
Only approve clinics you recognise. Once approved, the clinic can see your tests, history, documents and profile, and can add tests and treatment plans for you.
How do I remove a clinic's access?
Go to Your Profile, scroll to My Clinics and click Remove access next to the clinic, then confirm. The clinic loses access straight away and would need to send a new request to reconnect. Tests the clinic uploaded for you stay on your account.
Where do I find a treatment plan from my practitioner?
Published treatment plans appear on your Medical History timeline. Your practitioner can also send you a direct link. Sign in first, then open the link to read or print the plan.
Account and privacy
Who sees your data and how to manage your account.
Who can see my data?
You, and any clinic you have approved under My Clinics. A clinic that created your account for you also has access. To read and interpret your results, the text of your lab report is processed by Google's AI service. Your data is never sold. The full details are in the Privacy & Medical Data Notice.
Can I change my email address?
Not in the app. Contact the support team (below) from your registered address.
How do I close my account?
